These feelings
Why do I have?
These feelings?
Patiently waiting
on the right guy
he says I’m precious
but I think he’s lyin’
just to get my attention
make me fall not to mention
he got crazy intentions
I couldn’t trust him
so I didn’t want him
surely I may not
know exactly what I want
but surely I know
exactly what I don’t
still I haven’t found what I’ve
been looking for but i
cant do this no more
imma just run and hide
go far away to hide
true love I’ll never find
gonna pack my heart and hide
imma just run

My dream job would be to sit at front rows at fashion shows in New York and Paris and Milan, receiving free clothes and shoes, being told how fabulous I was - and having to write about it. I’d love to be a Fashion Editor.
After researching what they really did, however, I found that no one really calls you fabulous all day, and the journey to the top is a long, treacherous one that I may not be able to do in the required five-inch high pumps. Fashion.net has an article that explained to silly, naïve me, that there are two types of fashion editors - the market director, and the in-house fashion editors/stylists.
The market directors are the people like Anna Wintour (one scary bitch with a bob who was the inspiration for The Devil Wears Prada), who is the editor-in-chief of American Vogue. According to Fashion.net, market directors “[travel] to designated cities, cultivating relationships with showrooms, choosing the right clothes for the story and making arrangements for the delivery and return of garments.” They directly cover and write about the fashion market. In-house fashion editors point out motifs and trends that are seen constantly in runway shows, and will eventually trickle down to department stores and in turn dress us mortals, for each season. The “big” seasons that designers prepare for include the Spring and the Fall, and designers premiere their lines a season early to give us mortals enough time to conform to these trends.
From what I read, you’re surrounded my clothes and shoes all day long, and you must know the difference between a Giuseppe pump and a Manolo Blahnik slingback like your left and your right, and you can NEVER mistake Alexander Wang and Alexander McQueen. Ever.
There are different pathways to take to become a fashion editor. A few sites mentioned that I should start working in retail, just so I can get a glimpse of how the industry is on a lower level. Most sites that I visited, however, recommended that I should intern at a fashion magazine, website, and/or blog, which will give a much better insight on how the business really is behind closed doors. Also, through interning, you can gain professional contacts – networking seems to make the climb to the top that much easier.
HEMP IS AN AMAZING PLANT, FYI, FTW!!!
YOU AIN’T WORTH IT. ;)
First day of classes = pretty much done.
I have to buckle down, settle down, and get ready to read, write and STUDY, cause that’s ALL I’ll be doing this semester.
I shall be chowing on some Pita Pit right after my last class (that I’m sitting in right now, lol)
Stay beautiful, stay positive.
Love, The Standard
